Re: I call it a Hybrid!
Nice one:) She looked very light on take off? Is that hard to manoeuvre? I was amazed at how light this bird is being 45 inches long and 45 inches in wingspan. with a 2200 3s battery in her, she is just 44 oz. It is really easy to maneuver around but you really need to dial the rates down and add a...

Re: Experimental Reverse Staggerwing Bipe Based on the Sorce
A little more progress, well a lot, all the covering is done and the build is finished. I just need time and weather to cooperate. Here are the specs. Top wing 32" Bottom wing 27.5" cord I call it 6" but towards the fuse it gets out to 7.75". Length from spinner to tail 33"....

Experimental Reverse Staggerwing Bipe part 2
Now for some servos and the motor. I added some balsa square stock into the fuse to strengthen the thing because the motor is a Fire Power 3836 1100kv hog, It will be spinning a 10x7 prop. IMG00104.JPG IMG00116.JPG IMG00120.JPG I made a canopy for it and then added some cowling enhancements. IMG0012...

Experimental Reverse Staggerwing Bipe Based on the Sorceress
SO after seeing Lockey from RCgroups work on the Sorceress, I finally got inspired to try my hand at it. If you are not familiar with the Sorceress it is a Reno racer reverse staggerwing bipe from the 70's. Sorceress drawing.jpg There is not really any "plans" for it but with a single blue...

Hello everyone! Well I am finally getting back to the hobby. I have had a few issues in life, not any health problems just work related and some problems with the club I fly at. Lots of personnel changes at work have left us short handed and now I am working more saturdays than ever. The club I fly ...

J3 Balsa kit from Hobby king
Well in my spare time I have been working on a laser cut kit from Hobby King, it's a J3 and it has been a fair amount of work but I am getting closer to completion. I would not recommend this kit for a first attempt as it is lacking in instructions and components and of course HK now has a version 2...
