Not sure where to put this thread, so please move if need be...
This is my little RC tank I'm going to add fpv gear to so I can practice this fpv craze, this is Stambos idea to try a ground vehicle as I just can't get to grips with the tunnel vision in the air...
So here goes...

That is too cool Tony! Can't wait to see some videos. That's one way to get use to the FPV. Good luck.

That's sweet Tony that will get you used to fpving with your goggles without the worry of totaling your quad, take your time my friend you will soon be flying proximity like a lunatic.

Yeah I was more thinking about something a bit faster, but you get the idea though.
Even at that speed you will get more used to wearing the goggles and the view they provide.
Be cool if you could hook the turret to a head tracker.
Here was my early attempts, low quality video recorded from the RX with lots of interference but you get the idea.

Thanks Lee.... Can't believe I cannot do fpv now, I done it on your field, was ok for first attempts. Yet now it's hard...
Hey Stambo, I see now how you got used to the goggles, great practice vid albeit jumpy. I want a monster truck too now.... One that takes 3s lipos coz I've got loads....
thanks for that, I'll keep at the tank for a while now....once I've mastered this tank I think altitude will be my only issue with the quad...

Altitude can only come with practice.
As long as the self level is set up on the quad so it can pretty much hover with no stick input the rest is up to you.
The big thing is as I have said in the past, keep moving forward but not too fast.
Slowly but surely you will get it.

Will do mate, the tank has a ni-cad battery in it and I've only got one, so practice will be slow.... I recon a few more packs through it and I'll put all the fpv gear back in the quad.... Thanks mate....

Don't be scared to crash, we all do it regularly.
Main thing is crash close enough so you will find it.

Crash, not swim
The biggest tip to feel good with FPV, is just to imagine you are in the aircraft.
If you have in your head, that you are sitting down flying something elsewhere, you get disorientated.
With you in the machine, its simple. just steer as if sitting in your car.
