Nice flying Gerald now I am going to have to get my eagle 2 trainer flying now it hasn't ran in almost 18 years but I did put after run oil in her she still turns freely.

The last post for the Alpha was the video with the electric conversion that ended with a BANG. I have made the needed repairs, cosmetic surgery on the nose.

The wing suffered 3 cracked ribs, I cut the covering open put everything back in place and added a few strips of balsa for support CA'ed every thing back into position and ironed on a patch not quite a match but I can't tell 50 feet in the air!

The major change is the landing gear. The nose wheel takes a beating on the grass runway and subsequently broke the firewall free. I decided to make her a tail dragger. I reinforced the fuselage at the leading edge of the wing and bought some nice landing gear with some spring to it and spring steel axles. Change the wheels from 2.75" to 3.5" dia.

I made my own steerable tail wheel assembly from scavenged parts and it works quite well.

The mods give the plane a whole new look and I can't wait to get her back in the air on Sunday!
