leveling table

Post by murankar »

I find this much easier than using paper. I can level either the platform or anypart of the heli. It uses three adjustable pads. These pads are common on the bottom of appliences to level out when the floor is uneven. Then I stuck some rubber pads on those.

Added some rubber pads to lessen the sliding around.

This is how I connect the wooden bar. Just a standard blind nut.

Very much so. Now regardless of the surface i can level out the heli. I watched the Soko tool videos made by Soko heli tools and figured this would be easier. I got the idea from CPO who went and over engineered his. I wanted simple easy and I think I got it that way.

Derek how wide are 600 skids? I was wondering if my current setup can handle the footprint of a 600.

My platform is 9" wide by 14" long by 1/2" thick. The bar is 9" long by 1.5" wide by 1/4" thick. the hardware can be what ever you find. FOr the bar I used 2 washers to bolts and two blind nuts and the legs are a standard thing I found at Lowes. I got everything at Lowes except the plywood base which was scrap wood in the garage. So far it holds the heli solid while making adjustments.

At this siz I think it can handle a 600. I would probably go just a bit longer than 14" maybe 16" to 20" just to make sure that it is stable.
