Ok guys.. Here we go. Got the kit, but still need some electronics... U know me, I'm gonna build this short of what I need because I'm too excited. Then ill run round the house holding it while making heli sounds as if I'm fly'n till I get it ready to maiden. Lol... Gonna do the same process as I did with the N5C and start with the sub assemblies.. Don't suppose u have to follow the manual step by step... First up.. Skids!

Thanks DOG, I'm excited! Tail servo mount, sensor tray, lower brace... I am using thread lock on the counter sink screws thru the CF to the aluminum standoffs... But continuing to dry fit to the frame side... Think I'm call'n it a night here.

This kit.... Well all Synergy kits seem to have a lot of aluminum bits and minimal plastic.. One of the things that drew me to this brand.. Especially after building the N5C. So yeah, shiny bits! Lol.. The dry fitting seems to be going well... No issues thus far... Quality kit.. Impressed and happy! I just finished thread locking the tranny together and dry fitting it to the frame.. Gonna grab a bite to eat and then put on the other side frame. Then I'll assemble the head or tail...

Figured I start with the head... Synergy kits come pre-assembled.. I like this because it ensures parts count from the factory/packaging. Even the above photos came that way.. Blocks had screws in them.. Standoffs had screws in them.. Tranny was assembled.. Now of course you have to break it down, clean, thread lock, and reassembled... But you don't have to go from bag to bag looking for the right parts to the area you are working on.. I like this method. Anyhow... Pictured you will notice a few bags.. This will be the first of the aftermarket items in the build. FlyBarLessRotors makes a few items specific to Synergy & Mikado. I used FBL Rotors stuff on the N5C and love them.. So this build gets Ralph's(FBL Rotors owner) stuff too. Turnbuckles are larger than the stock links.. The ball links are pre-drilled & assembled per Synergy's spec lengths. They also come with a tool. The other bag contains Ralph's "progressive damping system". I didn't try these on the N5C as they had just came to market when I was wrapping up that build. They are spoken highly of so I'm try'n them out. This will take a few to break down, clean, lube, & thread lock...

Head is done.. Note the white Q-tips in the spindle.. Awesome trick to keep grease outta the threads while building.. Clean spindle threads with alcohol swab, again w a dry one, the thread in a clean one and leave it. It also helps guide the bearings & washer in. Good trick.. This new damping system is strange to me.. We'll see how it works.. I'll post a sheet on it. Boto Lube as always.. My preferred grease.. All I use anymore.. Highly recommended! I use red Loctite on all balls. Beats blue balls! Lol... I'll get to the swash next.. Then the gears.

Actually I went blue, blue, green.. I'm told it helps with oscillations at low head speeds.. I want idle up 1 to be low.. So I'm gonna try it.. Got extra rings if I don't like it.
