Well guys I got the frame on Friday from Phil, been after this since I seen it at the drone show,

Cut of carbon is exquisite, very neat, size is just about perfect as well.

for the build.....

Dys SN20
Naze32 rev 5,
CC3d PdB
Aomway vtx
Aomway 600 tvl cam to be replaced with a Sony Hs1177 later.
Zippy Compact 1000mah 4S 35c ATM,

For this build I updated the esc's and put betaflight on the Naze using oneshot and after a quick hover in the living room I have to say WOW. Super powerful and smooth as silk and all on stock settings.

Think I'm gonna like this one.

I have Betaflight on my 250 and it flew just fine on stock PIDs.
I have not even adjusted anything beyond RC rates.

I tried the DAL props but I don't like them.
They seem to bend a little when you hit something, then they vibrate and you have jello video.
May as well have broken it and put on a new prop.
They may save you from a crash or get you back if you land flat but I prefer my HQs.

I like the dal props the 5040s are soft and bend the 5045 at stiff and strong

What rc rate you using

That really looks great, Kev! I do miss quad flying. Once I get a grasp on some other projects, perhaps I'll get back to the quads.

I have found the quads a lot better for me Derek, not so much fear of hurting my wallet, still fly my 250, but my 500 has sat on the shelf and had 1 or 2 flights in 2015 I think

Well after a bit of testing. Had a couple of batteries in work and the school hall I noticed I had a flicker on the satellite led so I had to do a bit of rework to change out the pdb.

Think I ended up with a good result though. And no flicker any more.
