Time to get busy! Synergy E5! Well.. That's the beauty of this kit... Stock is an E5... But, you can build up from this model without purchasing another.. With the E5, it's a 550... From there.. You can get a 600 or 630 stretch kit and make it such. Each stretch kit contains the tail items to do so.. Boom, TT, control rod, etc... of course you have pinion choices as well depending on ur set up to match ur desired HS. Stock tail ratio is 4.0:1... If u stretch it and want to increase that ratio.. as one would likely lower his HS a bit w larger blades.. The stock E7 auto spur gear and transmission spur gear can be swap'd in to give a 4.5:1 tail ratio. U can even make this a 700.. A lot of guys do.. Makes for one of the lightest 700 on the market! I'm really excited about this kit. The 550PRO DFC is gone and this is her replacement... I will be setting this up to use 606 mains. I have a buddy who is running his on 6s w 606s and loves it.. I'll be doing the same to experiement.. If I don't like it I'll revert to 556 mains or go 12s.. We shall see.. EXCITED!

Getting closer... I know I'm not doing as detailed a thread this time.. Sorry.. Kinda short on time this month. But she is coming along nicely... Doing something different this time tho... Using a BEC for the first time! More on the later.

All soldering complete... I set the ESC up for 12s to future proof the work.. She will be 6s for now.. But with this jumper I won't have to back up & punt later. BEC connectors soldered & connected.. Mounted on the bottoms of the ESC tray.. Seems pretty clean so far..

Got all the servos in, gyro sensor in, castle link, castle telemetry.... Got it all in... Not too happy.. Doesn't look as clean as I would like it to be.. But.. Wiring done.. Mount the head & boom tonight maybe then all to do is program the VBar.

Well.. Haven't got back to it her till today... And am being cut short on my time again.. Wifey says we r to goin swimming.. To not start tinkering! Lol.. So she is on the dinning room table awaiting to be programmed... Pictured is the stock canopy.. Sticker bombed as usual.. The red/green canopy hasn't arrived yet.. But this one will be for daily use anyway so... I will also be painting the tail fin neon red.. Heat shrink the RX antenna wires red & secure them.. Set up will be 6s on 606 mains.. If I don't like it I'll either revert to 556 mains or order 12s packs.. Yep.. Set the FBL unit and maiden.. Done.

Build complete & maidened... She is sooo light! Quick.. Omg.. She's FAST! During set up I think I killed the Align 655 tail servo.. So I had to rob the 766's stash of build materials... So the MKS 990HV tail servo is now installed in the E5S. VBar on her is very sweet! Flys so smooth.. Anyhow.. Synergy E5S complete!

Yeah I think that what happened.. Prefer the MKS.. So I'm not too upset about it.. But I really didn't want to take what I had stocked up for the 766.. Oh well.
