Had to be done, with Mother Nature with her crappy weather another solution was needed and the tiny whoop was just not going to cut it, found a pretty new frame to the market and thought I would take a punt.
The frame is a Rotorious Speck 80

Clay, its not fully available on the market yet, I bought it through a facebook group,
if futaba do a nano rx then you might stand a chance, but prob cheaper to pick up a used dx6i to play with one of these.

Done the soldering last night and had a quick hover in the mancave and it was ok,
but got in the office this morning and no one was here so it was play time, managed to use 1 battery and it feels spritely and nimble in roll and pitch fwd flight is quite quick but climb out rate is not great,
more to follow and hopefully later I will get some dvr footage.

what size battery do you use and how long are the expected flight times?

350mah 1S nanotech 65-130c I'm using Derek.
Flew it around the office for just short of 5 mins this morning and did not hit low voltage I set in Cleanflight, will check on volt meter later though to see if that feature is working ok

Got a battery in my garden earlier, and I had a blast, nippy bloody thing that but nice and stable when you get control of it,
Before anyone says anything yes it's horizon, but that was first FPV with it and first FPV in the garden,
After first crash I added a little expo to tame it slightly need to tame rates slightly,
Anyway here is the dvr of the flight, I had a blast and its the start of more thumb time,
5 mins of flight gave me an end voltage of 3.7v so think that 4.30 will be my timer,

Well guys I had a motor die on this 8 batteries in......Bloody Hobbyking rubbish
So I took the opportunity to put some bling on the little girl and brighten here up. As well as putting a new set of Multiflite motors in this time, Hobbyking motors reportedly run about 11000rpm the Multiflite coreless motors run at about 14000rpm and have more torque.
I have run 6 batteries through this now to bed the motors in and to be fair it feels a lot better than the HK motors did.
and I mad a gate.......here is a quick video to see what it looked like through the camera.

And the money shot of the bling....

Had 3 packs lunch time with the Speck and I am loving it, controlled flying around the conference room in the factory, as wet and windy outside.
was also trying out my new Dominator HD v2's and they are nice I have to say,
well here is the dvr of one battery
