Kit arrived! Goblin 570 Carbon yellow/black. Also with ESC, servos, BEC, and some extra battery trays. Going to use the KDE 600XF-1100kv motor I had on hand already. Have an ikon I'll put on it. I was thinking about going vortex, but not this time. Rx sats showed up in a separate shipment.
So now I have a Goblin 500 to fix up. A new Edge 540 to build and this Goblin 570 to build.
Once this 570 is built the Blade 550X will be going up for sale along with my supply of spare parts. Won't be a fire sale deal like what I have up now on my micros, but it will be a good deal still.

Not the first. I have a set on the Goblin 500. Very crisp. Those are the mini cyclic servos. These are the full size coreless (brushless were a lot more for little benefit, IMO). Same tail servo though (mini with a full size top plate). Have had very good luck with them so figured I'd stick with them.

Welcome to the 570 gang Paul

Pretty much the same set up as mine except 6S not 12.
You'll have to make a small mod to the canopy for that motor to fit. I almost went for that one myself.

I don't know if it's the bks or the goblin head or what but the goblin 500 is crazy responsive. Every twitch translates. I expect this one will be just as good.

So first off congrats sweet heli!
Now a suggestions. The KDE 600XF-1100kv is a beast of a motor and will pull 180 amps easy. I had this same exact combination and sold the 600XF after just one flight. I then switched my 550 to 12S and bought the 12S version of the 600XF. I'd recommend going with at least the edge 160 if you plan to stay 6S.
This was that motor on my 550

I'll keep an eye on it. Spikes into 180 territory don't worry me much as long as the temperature remains reasonable. Worst case I end up selling the motor and switch up to a different motor. I want to stay 6S since I have batteries already. If I switch to 16S I'd end up having to buy new smaller capacity batteries to get them to fit.
And I have an Edge 160HV on hand if needed, but I doubt it will fit into the esc tray on the 570.
Do you know how much pitch you were running there? More than anything else I've found that to be the usual cause of crazy current spiking. I was pulling 150 plus on my Gob 500 at one point on rainbows due to having 16 degrees of pitch by accident.
