My new quad kit arrived today 6 days after i ordered it from france, the kit included the frame with custom made PDB, acro naze32, RCX 1806 2400KV, some sort of 10 amp blue series ecs (ive just read a tut on oneshot flashing these esc's and have the firmware but that will be another thread), a zippy 1300mah 3s lipo.

you know me guys it always starts with a dry fit.

lol. The sooner the better kev. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms. Im hoping to get most of it boxed off this weekend really, I've got everything for the build so it should be pretty straight forward.

Ive even got a naze32, futaba sbus config file for it, ive just got to edit a couple of bits in it too make it compatible with cleanflight.

yeah 250 size. i wanted something a bit different marius and most frames are in the US so P+P and tax kill the deal thats mainly why i opted for a european frame.

What does the bare frame weigh Dan, and would it fit 6" props if you were that way inclined?

The naked frame weighs 90g with its fittings, I'm not sure if it will take 6 inch props I will take some measurements in the morning when I get in.

To answer the prop question it doesn't take 6in props. Ive been busy on it today, got it all done wiring, cleanflight, fpv installed, ect.

I've left the motor and esc wires long so that they can be transferred in the future

Yeah theres loads of space Graham. its designed so that the lipo fits in the frame (1300 mah only) but i've opted to put the packs up top to give me some pack flexibility

I've done a couple of short LOS flights in the garden and everything seems silky smooth, I'm just waiting for the video camera battery to charge and then i'm off to the field for some fpv, at last i can get a fix :D

hello Dan,

I see your post while surfing on the web about the "porket" ( I make mine right now :)

There is something interesting in your work : you inverse the battery and the tx.
You write this is about some "pack flexibility".

But i see to other advantages for that :
1 you can adjust the batterry position for a perfect centering( if no gopro !)
2 the tx is better protect ( and it cost most than a battery ^^

How does the quad fly with your config ? are you happy with that ??

thks
tib
( sorry for my strange/bad english --> french guy)
