This is not really a build topic from scratch. I have flyed with my Trex 700 that was converted from nitro to electric. I have always been frustrated when it come to put on the lipos in it. The engine is pointed downward so it not is possible to use a pack of 2 lipo. I had to put them in seperated 1 behind the engine and 1 infront of the engine. This weekend i got a deal to buy a complete Trex 700E without the electronics for half the price as it cost new. It is almost brand new have under 100 flights. So i buyed it from a member in the flying club im in. I gonna take the electronics from my old 700 and put it on my new 700. It is brand new servos to. :) here is a few pictures. I got 2 canopys to.

I took of the electronics from my old 700 and realised both the engine and the esc is kinda old. The esc noone know what really is for kind. (i will post a picture of that and see if anyone of you might know.) And the hyperion engine just is old. I dont like to have equipment in my helicopters that i dont know the history of. I know both the esc and the engine have had several owners before me, but i dont know how they looked after it so i dont feel comfortable to contiune to using it. A 700 is a big machine and i want full control of every part in it. I also noticed the cables betwen the lipo and esc was in a terrible status. So go figure i went abit frustrated with this. So i decided to do something about it. :)

I buyed a brand new engine, a Dominator mx800 that is a very powerful engine. I also buyed a brand new esc a YGE 120A HV. I buyed brand new cables and ec5 contacts aswell. I also buyed brand new servos both cyclic and tail last week. (cyclic servos is align DS615 and the rudder is a MKS 760) So now i have brand new electronic on this helicopter and i feel very comfortable with that. :)

Now some pictures :)

Here is a picture of my old esc. If anyone know what esc this is so please tell me. I have heard everything between 85A to 120A but noone have been able to see exaclly what esc it is.

Nice upgrades. Look forward to how you think it improved (or didn't improve) after a few testing flights! :)

It is no information at all on the backside. the only readible information that i did find on the backside was it said 12s battery max 50v.

Thats a tough one then. If its rated at 12s i would say its probably an 80amp, but if it can do 6s also then it would be a 120amp. I wouldn't try it at 6s just to be safe. Lower voltage higher amps.

Nice looking bird! That's where I mounted my YEP esc with the capacitors to the inside, and it fit pretty good.

To the weekend i hope to maiden this bird. :) I have test hovered it and that went good. Some smaller adjustments is needed but that is how it always is with helicopters the first flights is to adjust the settings until it is as you want it.
