Hi Guys i have one of the first DX8's it was a DSM2 it went back to spektrum for a full service new gimbles and full upgrade to the latest spec DSMX software ( all done FOC thank you horizon )
i have tried to use the old DSM2 RX's that came with the set it binds but nothing else i have gone into settings and changed that model back to DSM2 and still nothing i also tried 2 other DSM2 RX's i have i can't think there all gone they worked before swapping to FBL , all other models are running Beast x they work fine
the orange light flashes then goes solid after binding and then solid every time its powered up but no output out of any channels tried esc's and servo's nothing working ,even powered up with a hump pack to make sure its getting full power

Ok, let me ask you this....are you sure that you are connecting the servo's to the rx correctly? It may sound trivial but I do remember that I had similar issues when I first bought my DX8 and the simple solution was that I was connecting the esc and servos to the rx upside down.

Ok...That would be the AR8000 rx. Just double check that you are connecting the esc and servos to the rx with the negative wires up. Most of my rx's will bind without issue but I do have a few that I have had to lower the throttle trim, on the DX8, all the way down and then any issues are resolved.

Hi Derek i have put throttle trim down plugged hump pack and using good servo to eliminate any problem with ESC and still nothing on any RX
AR7000 is the only one that would work DSM2. Try connecting again with the Ar700 and TX set to DSM2 but try binding at a distance of 4 feet or more. Sometimes with the older set ups it will not initialize correctly as the signal is misinterpreted as it is to close or gets metal object interference.
Well, the frame rate won't have anything to do with it. Both digital and analog servos will work on both 11ms and 22ms, however the 11ms is meant for digital servos and the 22ms is meant for analog servos. You can run digital servos on the 22ms but you won't get the best performance from the servos. You can run the analog servos on the 11ms but you will, eventually, burn them up.
Graham brought up an important point. Definitely be sure to bind the tx to the rx from around 3-6 feet away. When I first heard about this, I really thought it was a bunch of crap until I experienced the issues from binding too close to the rx. Now, I am always at least 3-4 feet away and I have no issues.

+1 Dan....i've been told that before, too. Really great of you to mention that.
I have to be honest, this thread really kinda bothers me. I have the DX8 and I have the AR8000 installed in my Blue Cub STOL and the tx and the rx have always worked for me. I really hope our buddy Phil can get his issues sorted.
