You'll have to get close for these to connect to your phone and work as locators. Bluetooth is 3-5 meters max usually.

Agree with Paul I'm afraid, although it specs 75 feet, I really doubt that range... You will probably see it before your phone picks it up on bluetooth...

It looks similar to the Tile gadgets, that have been out for a while now.

This one claims a range of 100ft.
It would be fine to find your quad, if you have a rough idea where it is, but just need that extra help.
Also, if you have friends with the app on there phone, you could extend you grid search.
The dimensions are the same as a Nase32/CC3D

both these are bluetooth based (2.4ghz), couldnt that mess with your radio signal (2.4ghz)?
