I was thinking about shortening the wires from the Bluetooth Module to the Naze board but I think I'll just tie them together somehow and keep the length as is. Can I possibly ask a favor, Graham? Can you post a pic or two of how and where your Bluetooth Modules are tucked away?

What is the range on Bluetooth? I imagine it's on a couple of feet.

No problem, Graham! I've got the module installed and working. It's a very cool little item and it really didn't cost very much at all. I've used the GUI, on my tablet, to make a few changes on my quad. I sure do like the Bluetooth programming....especially considering that the load time is MUCH faster on my tablet than on my laptop, lol.

I definitely plan to get the Ikon Bluetooth. I've seen it on HeliDirect for about $24. I just need to get around to actually ordering it. I did buy and download the "Brain" app for my tablet already.

I'm confused, Graham. You placed a question mark at the end of your post. Are you asking me if I'll use the same cheap module or are you telling me that I can use the same cheap module? If I can use the same module, that would be great because it's about $10 cheaper than the one that HeliDirect sells. However, I'd need to find out which wires go "where" on the Ikon, itself. The module from HeliDirect states that their module will plug directly into the SYS port of the Ikon. That's simple enough.

Sorry for the confusion Derek:) you can use the same cheap module on anything:) And it uses the same program/app as the Brain. Works a treat on all my helicopters:) Field laptops no more:) just your android phone:)

I just got looking at the Bluetooth module at HeliDirect and the Bluetooth module at the Multirotor Super Store. It just amazes me that HeliDirect sells theirs for $30 and the Multirotor Super Store sells theirs for $10. The module that I bought for my mini quad was bought from the Multirotor Super Store and it works very well. I think the only difference would be that I'd need the small white connector that would connect the module to the Ikon on my 600. That should be simple enough.
