Field Tool Box

Post by cml001 »

Been meaning to get this set up... Lee reminded me... For starters, I never have liked tinker'n or repairing at the field... I believe I have felt this way due to the fact that I fly 10 minutes from home at our local spot almost religiously... And when I started in this with micros & even the 450... Stuff is so small you'd have to be mental to think something wouldn't fall & get lost. Now that I do fly in more places.. Have larger birds and..... Ya know what.. Forget it.. I packed a tool box... Here is the start to what I believe one could use at the field... Wrenches & drivers.. Zip ties & double sided tape... Lubes & glues... Various nitro related stuff.. Glo plug, check valve, extra Glo wire, etc... Even put a small portion of solder & a spare iron in there for the what if.. As what if has happened.. May tweek the contents a bit.. But it's my start.

Yeah.. I use the other version for my Tx & charger cases... Comes w more foam & has black panels... This on had no foam & is silver exterior... I get them from Harbor Frieght... Tha one is $23... The other w the foam is $29... I have an old JR case for my packs... May have to do something different for this as I'm outta room in the JR case... It's a bit smaller.. Perfect for 3s packs... But tight w 6s... Don't know if u have a Harbor Frieght store across the pond.. But I highly suggest these cases for this kinda stuff... Hell of a lot cheaper than pelican cases.. & more functional than a typical tool box..
