Finally pulled the trigger. Now to find a large enough desk/table to build it and be its home (got here way faster than I expected).

Sure, once I get it setup and figure out how to use it. :) Need to build a sturdy desk/table for it first. Or modify one I have already (needs some cross supports under the center section to help maintain level under the weight).

Got the 3D print head, drag knife, foam cutting wire, and the spindle and some milling bits. Good to go!

Need to talk Dan into letting me be his US distributor and prototyping house for his quad design. :)

Moving my handmade office desk (4'x3') down to the basement tomorrow. Will get started on the build soon after. Supposed to be going to a new years party tomorrow, but I may beg off so I can work on the build. :)

Sweet machine Paul. I´d love one of those.
Which size did you get?

The big one, 840. Figured if I was going to do it, might as well go all the way. :)

Got the desk moved downstairs. Going to start the build tonight and see how much I can get done throughout tomorrow.

Thats a nice bit of kit you have bought there Paul:) Did you get the mill options for aluminium? You can build some serious parts with this:)

Yeah, it'll do aluminum and brass and other relatively soft, non-ferous metals. I have some milling bits I got with it and I have a friend with access to some high end milling and 3D printing gear so he's going to hook me up with some more end mills (facing mill is what I most need I think, to start with).

I'll be getting some aluminum stock after doing some tests with scrap wood and scrap CF. More than happy to help anyone here out with custom parts, once I figure out how to do it. :)

Ok.. I know there was another here with a 3D printer / vinyl cutter... I can't find the thread.. Nor do I remember who said the could/would try to cut some stickers... I said I'd get a design to u.. Was it Paul or.. Was it Graham or Tony?? I can't find it.. Anyhow.. Can someone cut me some vinyl sticker for this logo? Don't need the "design and distribution" that's in the round thingie.. I'd like some 4" in white & some in black.. 15 in white and 15 in black.. Willing to pay.. Can I get a quote?

I can do it up. I cut my first vinyl this weekend. Went fairly well. I have the material for black and white and the transfer tape/paper.

If you can get a vector image (ai, svg, etc.) of this instead of raster (png, jpg, etc.) it would help. Otherwise I'll have to trace this out to vectorize it, or try to recreate it in vectors.
