It's going to be a bit cooler than I prefer but I have batteries charged up for my 600 Pro DFC, 450 Pro DFC, Blue Cub STOL, Speedy Delta Wing, and my new low wing acrobatic hot rod thing, lol. I figure I'll wait until about 1pm today so that the temperatures can go up a bit but it should be a fun day.

Good luck Derek. I volunteered to work today. Installing 2 480 volt variable frequency drives downtown Chicago. Hope the weather holds may be able to squeeze in a flight or 2 before dark. 52 degrees F here.

well, the photo didn't show up but the link does work.
I took two helicopters and two planes. Despite the 46 degrees (7C), I was out flying today. Two packs on the 600, two packs on the 450, two flights on the lil green machine, and one flight with the Blue Cub. The 600 and 450 were "blade-farting" everywhere....just awesome! The lil green machine turned out to be quite aerobatic and glides very very well. The flaps on the Cub are amazing! I just love this plane!
Nothing damaged, nothing broken, and I'm happy!

Yes, Lee! That little greeny is a quick little thing. I was hoping for a bit more speed from it but I'm happy with it, for now. I have a 2826-06 2200kv motor and 40amp esc, from Hobby King, on it with a 3S 1350mah 35C lipo. I forget the AUW but it is quite quick with a 7x4 Master Airscrew prop. I've tested an APC 6x4 and the performance just isn't the same. I'll hunt down a motor upgrade for next year because I want to see what a 4S pack will do in this plane but a 4S pack will burn up the motor, lol.
I just got back from some more flying today. It was, again, quite chilly but I dressed warm. The little green machine was a lot of fun. A bit twitchy in todays winds but still manageable and enjoyable. It glides very well! I flew my Blue Cub STOL, as well. Despite it's bulkiness, it really doesn't seem to mind the winds. Flip on the full flaps for landings and it comes in so super soft and slow and graceful. Love this plane. My Trex 450 disagreed with todays winds so the flight was short. It was really getting pushed around and I just didn't feel comfortable. Better safe than sorry. On the other end of my helicopter spectrum, I flew my 600. HOLY COW, THAT WAS FUN!! I was really pushing myself today. The winds were gusting to 20mph and I had no troubles holding an inverted nose in hover. The high speed passes into the wind were very determined and solid. The high speed passes with the wind.....in all honesty, that scared the hell out of me, lol. The 600 was flying passed me so fast!!! WOW! What a rush!! Inverted flight, tic tocs are getting better...not as sloppy. Forward, backward, and sideways flips. Massively large loops and a few smaller loops. Pitch pumps. It was more fun that I had anticipated. All that followed up by a 6 foot baby auto. The helicopter touches down gently. I smile with pride and then I hear my wife chanting "IRCHA! IRCHA! IRCHA!" She's quite proud of me. I'm quite proud of myself.

Sounds like you have come on leaps and bounds this summer Derek, especially since you got the 600 dialled in,

Thanks Kev! I'm real happy with my progress with the planes and helicopters. There is just a "certain" understanding that has to be had and I do believe that I'm getting there quite well. When people say that a simulator will help....WOW...that is no joke! I may not have the best sim available (Phoenix) but it allows me to learn and I'm happy that I have it. Then, to add to that, I certainly know that you guys have helped me in some way or another and I'm grateful for that, too.
