Shameless plug for a buddy

IF you listened to this week's RC Heli Nation podcast, at the end of it you heard mention of a new website out there put together by Chris Reibert. For those that don't know him or of him, he's a heli pilot flying out of Rochester, NY (same club as Kyle Stacy, in fact they are good friends). He's been flying for years, and has been/is a team pilot for a couple of vendors, most recently for OXY helicopters. He frequently writes articles for RC Heli Pilot magazine. He does many unboxing, build, flight, and other videos. I met him a couple years ago and have talked with him at events in the area for a couple years now. I've done some business with him, buying some of his used equipment. I have a great deal of respect for him as a pilot and as one of, I think, the premier ambassadors of the hobby here in the US (certainly the Northeast US).

So he apparently got kicked from HeliFreak recently after a BS dustup with one of the admins or mods over there. While I extended an invitation to him to come join us here and make this his new home, he's kind of soured on the whole forum thing as a result of this event. I told him I'd give him and his new site a plug here anyway, so here goes:

Check it out.

To bad on that situation. That's one reason I never signed up with helifreak. All it takes is for one person to despise you and your done. They have no problem with kicking people out of their elite group. I hope he makes his way over here and checks us out. It would be great to have a veteran of the hobby on here.

Political BS has ruined many a good thing over the years.
Be good if you can get him here, I am sure we will all make him feel more than welcome.
Just checked out the site, some nice builds there, love the scale stuff.

Don't bombard him with invites, guys. He knows we're here. He's got a new baby on the way soon now, his daughter has medical issues that keep them all on their toes, full time job, and his new site, flying, learning, etc. IF he finds the time I'm sure he'll poke in and see what's up. We certainly don't want to lay on the invite love too thick. :)

He frequents the other big forums, has a FB page up (https://www.facebook.com/pages/3D-and-S ... 074005812), and his new website if you're wanting to pick his brain specifically. He has been into Scale for many years now flying as a team pilot and rep for RC Aerodyne. He recently parted ways with them to pursue 3D flying more this year. But he's still be a great resource to seek out if you're needing scale help, particularly on RC Aerodyne models.
