I don't like to leave it more than 12-24hrs... But if I don't get to use it.. Instead of using the charger to do the discharge... I spool up the bird on the ground and let run for 3-4 minutes..

Thanks cml001. I tried to play weatherman and lost!
Now i have 12 batteries to discharge.
I better get started discharging then.
If i wait til tomorrow morning to fly, the batteries been charged since midnight and midnight tonight will be 24 hrs.

That's fine! I do it my way out of OCD I'm sure.. U just don't wanna let them sit a week with a charge... Over time it will cause u to loose IR and short'n the life of ur pack... Couple days won't hurt them... Not in the immediate sence anyhow. But I do suggest that if u have a spool up area to discharge that way.. Hell of a lot quicker & cooler on the charger/packs... Don't go spool'n up a 700 on the kitchen floor tho! Lol weather here has been rain rain rain for over a week... Couple breaks during the day, but by the time u get to the field.. Itll be rain'n again... Well, don't have a field at the moment.. We have a pond & mud bog!

Hey there cml001. thanks for the advice. Yeah, i spool up the birds in my garage. I just did two batteries and i said that's enough and now I'm waiting for the morning sun so i can go fly. I will have time before the rain comes again today. Yesterday was windy and on/off on the rain. Next time i will wait til the morning to charge batteries instead of the night before. Discharging takes for ever. I won't make that mistake again. For spooling up in the house, NOT! I seen one video that there was about eight guys drinking and smoking while a very intelligent person decided to spool up his Gasser "600, i think?" in the middle of the living room right in front of his guess. Thank God nothing happen but what a disaster that could of been. Thanks for the information cml001, it help me out!

Not lose ir, gain it. Your goal is to keep the ir under control.

If I see the weather is going to change in a few days, I leave them charged.
Most I have done is a week. But the shorter the better for the batteries.

I like to say Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. I'm going with the 48 to 72 hrs trick here in Florida. The old saying is," If you don't like the weather here just wait 5 mins, it will change." That will giving me plenty of time to decide to fly or not to fly, that is the question? Lol. Thanks again everyone for your help!

Well! when i need to utilize the battery, simply charge for a day at the most and for the following day i don't need to sit tight for charge. At that point i charge them around 3.80v-3.85v for every cell.
