Dominator v3

I have decided I want some better video goggles and have pretty much settled on the Dominator v3.
So I set to selling some stuff on one of the local auction sites to fund this "want".
The 2 larger items I am selling both have bids high enough to more than cover the cost so off I went to the Fatshark resellers to order my goggles.
Wouldn't you know it, they are all on back order.
This is so frustrating, It will take near a month for them to get here, I have the money so I want to order them now!

Doh! Seems there's been a lot more backorder going on lately. Wondering if hobby related companies are trying to run tighter supply/production chains. Sign of the decline in the industry?

Nah, I think they underestimated how popular these would be.
Good reviews from popular reviewers on YouTube make stock levels reduce dramatically.
Look at the Taranis when it first came out, it was waiting list or wait forever.

Hopefully you're right. I'll be in the market for a set this spring probably.

I'd love to have a set of the v3's but there isn't anything wrong with my v1's, lol. I hope you can get a pair, Stambo!

EDIT
Hobbyking International will not ship this item to your country due to restrictions on battery shipping.
Just ordered from Banggood.

My goggles have arrived and I have to say I am disappointed.
Not in the goggles themselves but more in discovering it is my eye sight that has lead me to believe the predators were not so good.
With the lower image quality in the predators I did not notice the slight blurriness in the picture I was seeing.
With the higher image quality of the Dominators it is far more noticeable.
When I put on my glasses and look in to them the image is crystal clear.
I have tried the diopter lenses that I got with the predators but they only make things worse as the are minus 2, 4 or 6 lenses and are not available in magnifier lenses.
However all is not lost.
Today I intend to go in to town and get some cheap hobby glasses.
Using the diopters as a template I will cut the polycarbonate lenses to shape and give it a try.
I will report back with my results.

I've heard of people modding cheap glasses as diopters with success.
Let us know how you get on with it mate.

Well, I went and bought some cheap hobby glasses but I over did it.
I assumed more magnification would be better so I got a +3.5 and a +4 pair.
How wrong was I, I popped a lens out of the +3.5 pair and put it against the goggles and it was much worse.
i have since read that you should go with something that lets you read comfortably at about 6 feet.
Then I remembered I had a pair from a previous prescription to what I wear now.
I popped a lens out and put it against the goggles and it was near perfect.
So away I go with the dremel and cut up a $300 pair of prescription glasses.
I shaped them so the fit where the diopters normally go and it's brilliant.
I hooked up the hdmi cord to the lappy and started watching youtube videos.

Problem now is I can see how crappy my cameras are, now I need some new ones.
At least 800 tvl with no lag.
