Selecting band and Freq.

I was wondering how do I choose the right channel and frequency between camera and goggles? Some goggles have auto search but my goggles don't. So is it a poke and hope deal by matching channel with frequency or is their some sort of way to match the two?

Depends what you have and how many channels. Most cameras come with what channels they have. I generally scroll through till I get a good connection. When you race , you need to be all on different channels.

Thanks Graham Lawrie. I have the goggles figured out, It's the band and channel on the shuriken 180. It's default is F1. According to the information you presented to me https://oscarliang.com/?s=camera+reception I'm not sure if I got this right. The lower the frequency the signal strength is better :?: So if Raceband is band 5 and fatshark is band 4 so I have A,B & E which is 1,2 &3 left for channels. I have the eachine vr d2 goggles. I switch the camera view from 25mw to 600mw. I fly alone :( According to the chart I want the lowest frequency which is 5645MHz. Which comes out to be E4. Do I put the 180 from F1 to E4 then? This is all new to me so no laughing at my silly questions. I would like to learn. I envy you guys that fly these quad the way you do. A lot harder to figure out and fly vs the helis :o . I'm still a heli flyer by heart. FPV a close second ;)

No question is silly, buddy.... No worries. Since you do fly on your own...id definitely put the vtx on 600mw. As for the video signal....i will try get on Skype tomorrow or tuesday to help sort this out.

Hey everyone. I figure out the problem with the reception. The jumpers that switches the camera from 25mw to 600mw that are on the Holybro Shuriken 180 where installed the wrong way from day one :o . That's why neither 25mw or 600mw wasn't working. The jumpers are suppose to be installed parallel with the frame not horizontal. The jumpers where backwards so I switched them like it their suppose to be and BINGO, there it is. Works just fine now. Dip me in poop and call me stinky. I can't believe it came that way. Oh well, lesson learn. Hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else but if it does, that's how to fix it. Thanks and good day all :)

You just needed to follow that diagram that came with the 180. It illustrates where the jumpers go and which direction they go. Regardless, you sorted it out and now you are ripping. Awesome!
