Nice Experiment! Let me ask you something, Is there any concept I could seal the foam to make waterproof? I don't accidently land in some dew grass and have the foam deteriorate.

Thug guys at Flitetest, on Youtube, have an episode that shows a method for waterproofing the foamboard. I've not tried it but they say it works.

CorrosionX will do it I am told, but rain on the FPV cam lens is a pain.
