New camera and some flights from the field

So I got a pair of Pivothead camera glasses to try out. Bought them used from a guy on a FB buy/sell group.

I had hoped to capture some of my heli flights but events conspired against me and I was not able to capture either of my two flights today. However I did manage to try them out at the club during our Thursday night Flight school event.

First clip is of one of our student pilots flying a three channel model. He's doing pretty good and should be getting his "wings" soon now. He did a lot of touch and go practice today and I recorded a couple attempts.

Second clip is of one of our members flying his large-ish yak model (I think? Still learning the names of the plane types). Love the gasser versions of these bigger planes. He's got a smooth sport flying style that I really enjoy watching. He even threw in a high hover attempt, which is the first time in a while I've seen him give that move a go. :)

I certainly like recording with this glasses more than a head mounted gopro. Far less obtrusive. However, I'm still learning how to angle them to get the best framing, and the field of view is a bit wider than I'd prefer for this kind of recording. But they seemed to handle the lighting conditions well as I moved view across the sky. More recordings tomorrow as I will be hitting the field in the morning. And a good chunk of my family will be there watching. Little do they know my flying is a bore. :) Suckers!

Should get some good video of the new KSE, my gob 500, and some visionaire flights. Not sure if the canopy cut for the KSE will be done... May run downstairs to work on that now... maybe not. :)

Nice purchase Paul. I've been drooling over these before, but never followed through since I wear prescription glasses. Then there's the field of view as you mentioned. But it doesn't look too shabby I must say!

The first clip and the engine start were not zoomed at all. The second flight was zoomed (in post) about 40%. Got a deal on some extras with them so figured why not. Can always turn around and resell if I'm not happy with them.
