Fail safe question

Post by DOG »

Hey there. When Derek was setting up my shuriken 180, he also did the fail safe. My question is, do i have to set up fail safe on the tiny whoops like the QX90 or the TBS x-racer :?: Today I lost my tiny whoop  Any other time if I lost signal I would just shut it down and go find it. Never had a problem before. Today the same thing happen, lost signal, shut it down but this time no whoop to be found  I was wondering if the whoop took off because fail safe wasn't set up on the whoop :?: Any advice will be helpful.

I have never set up failsafe, and not sure if loss of signal would then allow it to carry on or just drop out of the sky? If its like any of the other quad set ups it could do both:)

Not sure. I'm used to helicopters and setting up failsafe on them with the Spektrum stuff. Usually the position of the channels when you bind is the failsafe settings, unless the controller detects loss of signal and asserts something else. I think all the quads I've dealt with so far recognize loss of signal and go to zero throttle.
