SuperClass Viper 770 Quad

Post by Derek »

Finally, someone has built a monster quad and, not only that, he is flying it responsibly! I have contacted the builder, inquiring about his electronics and setup (of course I was curious, lol). He replied back saying, "While I appreciate the interest, with the possibility of severe injury or death, I cannot release at this time." Those were his words, exactly. I can fully understand and respect his concern for safety. He did give me his email so that I can contact him directly with questions. Hopefully he'll email back and hopefully he'll feel ok with sharing some details about his monster quad in a 1-on-1 manner, instead of just posting them publicly.

Anyway...check this out!!!

I think for that size quad there are so many other options.
And racing?
Big quads are so much less manoeuvrable.
As for his "severe injury or death" comment, it is way less dangerous than a 500 size helicopter let alone anything bigger. :)

It's cool! But honestly, I'm not sure of the point. Does it go crazy fast? Can it carry a heavy camera payload for FPV like camera work with heavy high quality cameras (not that risking it that close to the ground makes much sense)? It looks cool and all, but why do this when 130-280 size seems to be the sweet spot?

Just been very busy lately with work, club duties, bowling leagues, Christmas stuff, jury duty, and some other stuff. Just realized I hadn't logged into the forum since late November. :)
