Thumbs down HeliNation.com

Post by DOG »

Well after multiple times trying to get the TBS Xracer to work, came to conclusion that I got a bogus quad :( . I brought the situation up to HeliNation and basically they said in a round about way, it sucks to be you and you need to contact TBS because it's not our problem  . So I'm waiting for TBS to contact me today to see how we can resolve this situation. Being a first time buyer from HeliNation, this will be the last time. The way customer service just blew me off and pass me on to someone else  . Not a good way to keep customer happy. I'm hoping that I'm not stuck with a $149.99 quad that doesn't work. I will not be a happy camper! Hopefully TBS will step up and help me out. Thanks HeliNation.com for nothing. Just my 2 cent.

It will be something in the setup that has been overlooked.
Put it down for a while and come back to it with a fresh mind.
Sorry I can't help you as I don't know your TX/RX combination and have no experience with that quad.
I am sure someone at TBS will get you through it. :)

Hey Stambo. Being new to quads, I thought I overlook something but I've checked and done everything. I had no problem with the QX90, QX95 :? I've tried contacting HeliNation again today by phone and email and nothing. I've emailed TBS and got nothing back yet. I'm thinking this is a HeliNation problem since I ordered through them. They should handle the problem not TBS. I made the transaction with HeliNation by PayPal account. Anyway... PayPal has taken over and they got til the 12th of Feb. to make it right or on the 13th the money will be pull out of their account and tossed into my account :D . Maybe now they will give me the time of the day, when I ask.

Hi Dog, I have had the same issues in the past with quads.
I would like to help if you could post up how you have connected the RX and what your TX is.

It is possible you have a bad one, and i would expect you will get a better response from the manufacturer.

If you post up screen shots of each page on Betaflight i could take a look at your settings for you:)

Hey there Graham Lawrie. Thanks for offering to look at my settings :) My TX is a Spektrum DX6 and the RX is what's in the TBS :? . I'll make a quick video of me going through the process. Maybe yourself or other can find out what I'm doing wrong if any. I had no problems with my QX90 and 95  When it comes to configuration section, that's where the problem starts. I have control of the radio til then. Once I pick RX serial DSMX/1040 and hit save and reboot, that's where I lose control of the radio :( .

That sounds like you have a set up issue on your TX or Betaflight:)

Is your DX6 is the new version?
