A Sad Time:(

Tomorrow i say farewell to my trusty DJI Phantom 3 Standard:(

I sold it some time ago to my friend for £250($328 at todays rates). Due to Covid he only picks it up now.

For this he gets:
Phantom
DJI Hard Case Rucksack.
2 Sets Spare Props.
Long Range Antenna (11miles/17km).
2 x Mobile phone /RC attachments.
Ipad 2.
Leg floats should it down in water.
Spare Gimbal Mounts.
Chargers.
2 x Batteries.

Been a great Copter, never crashed, in mint condition, still with original box and decals. For me a better quad than the Mavic Pro i now have!
Such is life. Training day for him tomorrow, full induction, walk through all features, mentoring and coaching. And when he is happy at a later date i will examine him and hopefully pass him as a competent operator, to fly safe as a registered pilot.

Would be interesting how many people get a deal like that when they buy a "Drone" (Still hate that word).

I feel for you Graham. I have 2 of them. I thought about selling one but that's it....a thought. When you want a good all around recording machine, The DJI 3 standard works marvelous, for me anyway.

Well my friend is really impressed with it! It is like brand new and if you sat it beside one out of the box you could not tell the difference its that clean. I spent two days training him and showing how to fly and what to watch out for. He will get further instruction before he goes. The training is worth more than what he paid! I am content i have handed over my trusty Phantom to a careful well trained pilot, and very please that i have peace of mind that he is competant, aware of risk assessing, hazzard awarness and safety flying codes! Job done!

I'm glad that you found a responsible pilot Graham. That's the main reason I wouldn't sell mine. There's no such thing as responsible or common sense people in the world anymore. Of course it's just my opinion. That's great your DJI is like brand new. Like everything else. You take care of it and it will last, if not...it won't last.

Very true DOG! I could not just sell randomly and hand over without a proper hand over!
