After doing some research today, I'm not sure if I'll be hunting down the HK Reaper, after all. I got looking at the Invertix 400 that Bobby Watts designed. Although i liked the 500 size of the Reaper, the Invertix 400 is just a bit smaller and there seem to be much fewer parts to get fouled up, it can come with a Spektrum rx, and would cost about the same.

Choices Choices!!!

It comes with a semi ugly canopy (my opinion, lol) that is white with either red, orange, green, or yellow.

Here is a link to the Invertix 400 at HeliDirect:

I've seen a bunch of the Invertix quads in action. They fly well, crash well, and are a good size for power to weight and easy transport/storage. As with all quads, I have issues tracking and maintaining orientation. I'd have to do some mods to make the front arms stand out visibly. Maybe light it up and make it night fly capable.

I absolutely agree with you, Paul, about orientation issues. Something would have to be done to make the front and back VERY noticeable.
