Big changes

Hello guys,

We will be switching hosting providers shortly. You will notice that the style of the forum has changed back to a default look. As part of preparing for the move, I've updated the forum software to the latest version (we were a few major revs behind). Once things are moved to the new location we can see about getting back into a cooler looking theme/style set.

Once I have the site working on the new server (but under a temporary domain name) I'll post that info up and send out email to all registered users (I hope there's away) to let people know. This will all be happening quick, though. I have to be off the current host sometime Saturday.

If you're seeing this reply, that means you're looking at the forum on the new hosting provider! Congrats!

Rc-hangout.com is down for the moment. I'm sorry but that was unavoidable. Hopefully it will be back up and pointed to the new hosting provider's servers soon. For now, continue to use forum.cnystars.club.

BTW, I just noticed that the files from posts and avatars and stuff were missing. I'm in the process of restoring them.

Thanks for your efforts, Graham. Looks like we're back up and running. Next step is to work on the theme and to see which, if any, plugins/extensions would be useful to reinstall. Will be working on that over the next month or so.

Wow... It's been a while since I've been on here.

The answer was apparently, no.

I'll have to take a look at the logs, but I'm not sure anyone else is even logging into this anymore. Only posts I've seen since I was on last were from you, Graham. I think FB groups and drift away from the hobbies may have depleted our small user base.

Dog hasn't been on since Sept 4, 2020. Clay Oct 5, 2020. Stambo Nov 25, 2020. Lee Jan 9 2021. West0618 (Derek's dad if I remember right), Feb 4, 2021. Fourstar40 May 31, 2021 (hasn't ever posted). Derek, has been on recently June 21. You and now me in the last week.

Dog sometimes runs into password issues. If someone can get in touch with him to check that he still has access, that would be good.

xokie, superbad, kev, murankar, and treff were in 2019. Tony, dan, Marius 2018.

I think the forum is practically, if not officially, kaput.
