Okay for starters, I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN FLYING IN THIS KIND OF WIND. That's my disclaimer I did how ever ensure that I would not hurt anyone or anything.

The short of it is this: the tail defiantly needed tuned from stock. Had the slow wag so I increased the gain. So as for the crash a huge gust of wind hit while I was doing a piro. Bam smack crash into cement. Lots broke but not as bad as it may seem.

It's my fault for flying in the wind so I am not to upset about it. Just need to order all the parts and some more packs.

Just ordered the replacement parts. Holy crap the stock parts for this thing gets expensive really quick. But them again I added 3 pulse packs to my order. I need to have packs that are going to last and be able to be charged fast.

So what did I end up fixing?

I started with the boom since it was the easiest but most involved part. I replaced the tail shaft, pitch slider torque tube, boom and one boom brace. That basically fixed 90% of the damage. Next I changed the main gear and left front servo and for good measure I changed the main shaft. I got a set of Zeal 155mm carbon main blades, the blades were fine but I changed them to match the Gaui. No real reason other than they are carbon fiber.

I also got 3 new Pulse Ultra packs for it and that about rounds out the repairs for now. All thats left is to see if Spektrum actually centered the servo before installing the servo arm. I did look at it last night and it looks goo but I need to get it in the air before i know for sure.

I want to look at the AS3X program cable. I dont think my DX6 will get into the advanced program features. If the servo arm needs 90ed better then I may not be able to do it on the radio. I guess I will have to fire it and find out.

Cools stuff. My 180's been on the table the whole summer. Have the parts to fix it, just haven't gotten to it. Now that winter is coming I'll be using it for indoor flying so will get it fixed up. Also have micro ikon for it to test out.

It still fixed but put it in 3 more times. Was over grass thus time. I went inverted and gave full negative and the motor shut off. All that's broke is the canopy and skids. Had no need for throttle hold since the motor shut down. Time to investigate the cause tonight. Plus do some over looking.just to be safe.

So far everything I fixed is still fixed. Servos, main gear and boom assembly still smooth. So for what causing the motor shut off is under investigation. I hope the esc doesnt need reprogrammed. My castle link wont work on the esc with the style of connector. So time to dig into the radio and see if everything is set the way it should be.

FOUND IT, i have a linear curve not a flat curve so lets get that fixed and get some new skids tomorrow at the hobby store. Once I get this thing setup right I will cycle my pulse packs and go kill this thing.

All I can say is that it felt soooooooooo great to get this thing inverted. If I can get the real life control of an inverted micro the Gaui is going to a rush.
