Finally after a long, long saga. After blood was spilled and sweat was shed I have finally got my old battered 450 to fly.
This afternoon the maiden, maiden, maiden, maiden +100 odd maidens it finally flew with some semblance of control.
The koala vbar was ditched and I went back to the 3gx. There was an intermmittent fault on the koala so that was my main problem.
I had some problems with the 3gx rudder bouncing to the left and that turn out to be a centre adjustment on the push rod.
So there it is. I will try to get some video posted but the weather is closing in over the next few days. The heli looks a bag
of rubbish with so many different makes of parts. Still it flies so I'm chuffed. Cheers all

Congrats on the maiden. Surprised you went back to the 3gx though. I think that will cause just as many issues in the end. Good luck and I hope that gyro works out for you.

Re: Never, never, never give up
Thanks both. I went back to 3gx because it was the cheapest option. Money very tight this year. I will have to start
selling my body. I tried selling me brain but there were no takers lol. I agree when finances allow will get a brain or ikon
and something a little larger because they are more stable but we will see how this goes for a while.

Re: Never, never, never give up
If you can get a Spartan Vortex, a Spirit or a 3 Digi. These three gyros are very cost friendly and may prove to be decent options.

Re: Never, never, never give up
Thanks a lot guys. Yes I'm ultra chuffed to say the least. Now to get a bit of flight time in although the weather
as turned to rain and thunder storms here. Still, I've learned a great deal. The 3gx is okay for now. It's very twitchy getting
the rudder correct. It really does have to be dead centre on the servo or it just does not want to play. It's surprising how rusty
you get not flying the real thing. On the sim it's simple lol. Anyway, again thanks for all the encouragement.

Re: Never, never, never give up
That's really fantastic, treff! Glad to hear that you got it to fly after all your trials and tribulations (and suffering, lol). We look forward to seeing any kind of flight video of your successful heli.

Re: Never, never, never give up
3Digi and Vortex are good options. 3Digi in particular appears to be really cheap and really good. But if it's flying with the 3gx, fly it.
