Although it's VERY late in the season, I got my 500 down from the shelf and tore it down today. Replaced all bearings. Oiled all radial bearings, greased all thrust bearings. Replaced the tail belt. New servos, which obviously lead to leveling the swashplate and resetting the pitch to +/- 10 degrees. Very happy! The 450 is next.

POP.. needs that POP! Lol.. I don't know, just messing with u.. typically on cyclic I'm 8-10 degrees depending on the size of the bird and the FBL controller.. collective on a small 450 I'm at about 12-12.5, on 600 & up I'm at 13.5-14... power is a consideration as well.. my E5 is set up as a 600 class.. I'm on 6s right now so I've got it around 12.5.. if it were on 12.. I'd bump it up a bit more.. ultimately it's a feel thing tho. I was just screwing with u... get tha bird in the air!

No worries, Clay! Mess with me all you like. Im not sure vie ever flown my 500 with more than 10 degrees of pitch. Its got a 12 tooth pinion but I've thought about putting on a 13 tooth pinion that I bought.

Hey there Derek. I wish I knew you needed a 13T. I would of send you one. Shoot I'm looking to get a 12T for my 500 to give it a try. I do have the 13T on it now. I'm running 13 degrees pitch on the 500 and the 450/X3 are 12.6. The 450 and X3 both have 12T on the motor.

Nah, I don't need a 13 tooth pinion. I bought one early this year but never installed it lol

10 deg collective is pretty tame. That would feel overly soft to me. Accidentally set my 550 up at 10 deg this summer and it was like a turtle doing pushouts and rainbows.

Turtle-mode, eh? We can't have that, lol. 12 degrees it is then, ha ha ha
