Space reserved for my trex 500
Came across a decent deal and couldn't help myself. I don't even know what I will do with the thing lol. Should be here in a couple days.

Hope so this was such an impulse buy I seriously don't need another heli. I'm already having regrets lol. How does the 500mx hold up power wise? Is it decent or a turd like the 450mx?

Personal I haven't flown it.. Cortez is a team align pilot and I've seen him break Helis in the air.. Dude flys HARD! He likes so I'm taking it as a thumbs up.

I hope so mine should be here Friday. I've got an edge 75 for it. Which if I have to go aftermarket motor likely won't be enough esc for it.
Being a team pilot can mean a few things. He may just have decent collective management which I don't have. The 730mx is a turd to me but some of the align pilots can fly the crap out of the 550.

Well yeah.. He's 20+ years in rc... So I think anyone coming outta nitro has that management edge over newer electric guys.

My 500mx in my pro dfc is shit hot, bags of power, and that's only at 80% not governed, should come alive once governed,
It's much more reactive than my 450mx was in my 450 pro dfc

Going to pull the servos off and place them up for sale. I prefer a different brand of servos.

I have a flybarred 500. I've had it for almost 3 years and I'm still running stock everything. I love the 500 class helicopter.
I have the stock 1600kv Align motor in it and it never comes down HOT but yes, warm....not governed.

For a minute there I thought those were mks. Not much longer and you'll be flying.

Wow the 500 is a rocket! I had to do my first surprisingly successful auto today. The BEC in the CC ESC is not up to task. It shut down on me on a very simple pitch pump. You have to ask why even include a BEC in these things if they can't handle squat? So now I need to buy a BEC for this thing.

I have had very good luck with KST servos. They are essentially the same price as Align servos and they have better performance and hold up better so why not? Plus gears are just about 1/3 the price of Align gears. Win Win all the way around IMO.

They sell these ESCs for planes too. 5A BEC is probably pretty good on one of them. Rare to have high demand from 3 or more servos at a time in those.
