Some of you may remember a few Xmas.s ago i won a Microbeeast Plus
I have started to look at my Align Trex 600 (Lee,s old one), and i have updated the software today to V4.1.
I like the idea of bail out as i cant fly worth a monkeys phisel:) I was quite taken aback when they requested $99 for the software!!
I guess you live and learn:(

Had a test hover with training gear on:) I always put it on after i have set up an FC just in case i have made any wrong adjustments:)
It was awesome:) First flight in my Trex600 in ages it felt brilliant, the Microbeast Plus was a bit too responsive to me, but what a feeling to fly and test my 600 again:)
Beat quads and FPV hands down:) Just wish i could fly better:)

that's awesome, Graham! It's an amazing feeling to have a big helicopter in the air. I love the sound of my 600. I am no 3D pilot, by any means, but even just loops and rolls makes my legs shake. Have fun with it, buddy!!!
EDIT....
....and I can't fault you at all for putting the training gear on. Were they necessary? Who knows. Do you feel warm and fuzzy inside for putting them on? Most definitely!

That's too cool Graham. Glad you had the chance to fly your 600 and enjoyed it. I dont have a 600 but my 500 gives me that roller coaster ride feeling. Shaky, sweating palm and the pucker up factor just hearing the bird spool up
Nothing like flying a big bird vs FPV quad. Like apples and oranges to me anyways

I just use the training gear as i dont know if i have made any errors:) You check, check and check again, however i always like the piece of mind that i aint gonna wreck it on spool up after working on it:) She hovered well so next flight soon will be without training gear:)
I agree it an awesome sound of those big blades cracking the air:)
