Well I decided to start the XL 550 build. It's pre assembled but I'm taking all apart to make sure everything is greased and lok-tite properly
Anyway here's the 550 parts compare to my X3. What a big difference

That looks great DOG and the quality looks good as well and quite a large build also. Where are you getting your servos from?

Thank you much Graham. The quality is good and It's defiantly large build compare to my 500. What really impressed me is the lightness
. It's almost as light as my 450...just kidding. I'm getting my servos from Aloft hobbies at of California. here's my cyclics

This morning I got the chance to fly. I took the 450 and the 500 along with the 550 to practice with them before flying the 550.

Well it didn't go that way. The 500 was acting up but got her down before any damage happen. The 450 didn't do so good
.

I couldn't do that if I threw the heli as a lawn dart
Anyway, the 550 was great. She likes to float and the KST servo were very responsive to stick control. Can't wait til I get her dialed in and use to flying her

550 looking good DOG:) what happened to the 450?
Re: Finally :).

Hey there Graham. The 450, what I came to conclusion is that the pitt servo arm pop-off the Servo ball link. It went into a spin, I couldn't do anything but hit throttle hold and watch the 450 plummet to the ground
. It's been raining for a few days so the under ground was still wet. That's how the heli stuck in the ground so deep. 3" for the canopy and about 5 to 6" for the blade. She was stuck by-golly

Certainly was! Well in the mud! That sounds about right. Whats the damage for repairs?

Let see. I haven't really did a complete break down of the 450. I'm thinking about purchasing a 450 scale fuselage for it. I have the Gaui X3L for a 450 size heli to fly. Plus I took the AR7200BX unit and installed it in the X3L. I have a brand new Beast X for the 450. Scale or not. As for the damage so far a canopy, DFC shaft, main shaft, servo arms. You would think the blades would be damaged but not
It's going to cost me around $200.00 for a new 450 scale fuselage. So the 450 is down for the time being but The 550 will replace it...for the time being
.
