However the learning curve of an FPV mini may have you go through them reasonably quickly.
6" props or at least 5.45 May be more suited.
On 4s that thing will be a rocket ship.

Maybe the 5x3s are not such a bad idea.

We'll just have to wait and see what all parts show up first, lol. I'm very excited about it all. All I need for my mini quad (I think) is a bit of wire, FPV gear, and a Spektrum rx.Stambo wrote:You are going to put everything else aside and build this when they arrive aren't you.
I'm surely not going to argue with Christmas in March, lol.Tony wrote:He's like a little boy on Christmas eve... Haha, exciting stuff Derek. Hope they come soon matey.
This got me thinking again. I have the 2100kv motors and 5x3 GemFam props. Stambo says that the quad may be under-propped on 3S. Stambo is much more experienced than me so I surely have no reason to doubt him. My motors are rated for 3S and 4S. The ESC's are, too. I already have several 3S 1300 35C batteries, so there's no reason not to run this quad on 3S...especially during testing and beginning flights. I'd like to run it on 4S, too, but that will be once I've gotten accustomed to it..Stambo wrote:I hate to say this Derek but I think those motors on 5x3 props running 3s are a bit under propped.
