How many channel rx will you be using Derek, if you have 8 available they can all be put to good use.
And yes, airplane setup.

I have a 6 channel rx. I couldn't find a "good deal" on an 8 channel rx so I opted for the 6 channel.

What gets plugged into which ports on the rx? Is there a "how-to" video that I can watch somewhere?

Did you get the breakout cable Derek, if so

The upper pins black red then white is channel 1 they should be in one plug then going along the top plug in channels 2+3 then back to the start and bottom row you will have 4+5+6 channels and you should have two left over

So your block should look like this,

Top row 1 1 1 2 3
Bottom. 4 5 6 _ _

The middle pin in the top row numbered 1 then all the others 23456 are all signal wires

I did a Google search for this Breakout Cable that you are talking about. It's unfortunate that I didn't see this $2.99 cable when I placed my order, two days ago, from ReadyMadeRC, lol. Anyway...like I said..I did a search for this cable and I found a video on Youtube. This guy made his own.

My pins for my Naze32 board....I have the large jumble of pins (18 pins total) at a right angle. I have a smaller set of pins (two rows of 5). I have a small set of pins (simply just two pins, side by side. I've watched a few videos and it seems that several people have, instead of the small set of two pins, they have a set of 6 pins (two rows of 3). I see where the larger jumble of pins get soldered. That's rather obvious. I see where the set of pins (2 rows of 5) gets soldered and I see that the board will actually split the two rows of pins. It's the small set of two pins that I'm curious about. On the back side of the board, it shows VBAT, BUZZ, and TELEM. I won't be using the telemetry. I think the buzzer will be getting plugged into the rx. What is the VBAT for and is this where I would solder the set of two pins?

I plugged my Piezo buzzer into the two pin one in the middle which is "buzz" and it works by ticking when you want it on, on the tick screen:)

Ok...I did some searching...found a PDF Acro Naze32 manual. Seems pretty easy to follow. In the manual, it shows that the "VBAT" is for a "Battery Connector for Voltage Monitor". Is this something that I'm going to be using? My inexperienced mind tells me "no, I'm not" because I have a few of those light weight voltage detectors that plug into the balance plug of my battery.

So...should I even bother soldering these two little pins in? The other two places that could have these pins soldered in would be Telemetry (not gonna use) and Buzzer (not going to use right away because I have a buzzer that plugs into the rx.

No Harm in soldering them in place,you may use them like you say for telemetry later, but you probably will not use them. early days for me also Derek, but i dont use them, so far:)

Thanks for that, Graham! Now..unfortunately, I just realized that my soldering iron no longer works. I was just using it the other day. So....I'll have to get a new soldering iron tomorrow.

Oh guys...I think we have a problem. I did a Google search for "Cleanflight"...I clicked on the search result that said "webstore".....that page loads up and it shows "NOT COMPATIBLE". There was a small "caution" or "attention" bubble that is displayed when I hover the cursor over the "NOT COMPATIBLE". You can see it in the picture:

At the "bullet mark", it says, "Chrome of version at least 38 is required. So....what do I do now?
