Yes, I've got it bad. No doubt! Its not my fault though. I blame Lee, Dan, Kev, Graham, and Stambo for posting their cool quad videos. Lol

That's exactly what Im trying for with this quad, Kev. Lightweight and simple. Im trying for as little hardware, as little wiring, etc. If the quad doesn't need it to function, its not going on this quad. No lights. No Bluetooth. Basically just simple frame, motors, props, esc's, rx, naze32, and battery.
2207-2100 kb motors
20 amp Fro esc's with blheli and oneshot
6x4 HQ props
3S 1300 packs until I can order the 4S packs
Oh yeah, the 5.8ghz fpv stuff too

It looks small.
That will be a dragster on 4S

Yes Lee...it's quite small. It's still about 260-270mm diagonally but the arms are 10mm x 10mm carbon fiber and the frame plates are 1.5mm carbon fiber (all left over from my ECHO 290 build). The hardware that I'm using cost me and outrageous $5.45 from my local hardware store. I am out of actual "stand-offs" so I'm using some #6-32 3" bolts for the frame and #6-32 1" bolts for the motor mounts. All bolts will be cut down for the final result to help save weight. I don't want any excess nor unnecessary weight on this quad. I'm still using the nylon standoffs for the Naze board because I did have 4 of them left over. This quad should be ready for some LOS flights in a week or so but won't be ready for FPV until I can order a new camera and vtx. Originally, I was gonna take the video system off the ECHO 290 and just "shelf" the ECHO for a while but I figured that was a stupid idea, lol.
....more to come!

And the Aomway 200mw VTX, it's a great combo in my Gravity,

Is that vtx compatible with Immersion?

If you have Immersion gear already, stick to Immersion/Fatshark.
Although others say they are compatible, they aren't always 100%.
You can end up with reduced range or lots of dropouts.
Why risk your aircraft to save a few bucks.

Derek I'm running the Aomway with zero problems and fully compatible with the dominator 5g8 rx module, and tbh I see just as good results as I get with my 600mw fatshark VTX if not better,

I'll happily be proven wrong Kev.
Thus far the cheaper units I have tried have suffered from greater dropouts among trees and bush.
The only thing I have had that was better than my Fatshark 250mw was my Immersion 600mw, until I killed it by knocking the antenna off in a crash.

Here's an update on this. The quad frame hasn't changed much at all but I do have the four 2207-2100kv motors installed, the four 20amp Afro esc's installed with BLHeli flashed, the Naze32 is installed and calibrated, Spektrum AR600 rx is installed and connected to the Naze32, props and 3S packs on hand, and the FPV gear installed but not functioning properly. The Immersion 600mw vtx was damaged very badly in the last crash but I have, since, replaced it with a brand new one. Still not getting any video feed to my goggles. I'm now thinking the camera was damaged. I'll order a new one when the funds allow. I believe the Mobius was also damaged in the crash because it's not working either. I think I'm just going to put my 720p action camera, from HobbyPartz.com, on the quad. Yes, the quality will be lesser and the weight will be a bit more but it's half the price of a Mobius.
I'll see about getting a proper thread started on this new quad with new pictures.
