looking to get in the game...

Long story...as short as I can...I'd like to get into the FPV multirotor world just to be in the air and out there with Derek and his buds. My Delta Ray plane just doesn't fit in but I still give them something to look out for. LOL The hiccup is...funds...and drive. I cannot justify the funds Derek has in his so whatever I get will have to be an acceptable, low-end unit, if they make such a thing, or a serviceable used unit. Can anyone suggest a "good" beginner, low-end unit to get me started. Or, better yet, have a unit gathering dust on a shelf or in a closet you would part with for a reasonable price. In the end, I only wish to be in the air with him taking video. Any thoughts? Derek lives and breathes multirotors...I am there simply to be out there with him.

Secondly, and this can be the same unit or a totally different one but...does anyone know of a multirotor, that has follow-me capability that follows a "module" of some sort(even a smartphone)...not the transmitter. Something small enough to put in a large scale boat or car. I'm told these were made some years back but whoever it was stopped production. As I rarely have a camera-person when I take a boat or car out, my wife quit, I'd like to have a quad record some of my outings by following the boat or car rather than me placing a camera on a tripod and do my best to stay in frame. Again, there is a limit as to what I can justify in this endeavor. Any thoughts here?

If either or both of these could be bound to a Spectrum DX6i would be a plus...but not a deal breaker.
