I get fed up with the sand getting in everything when I take off and land at the beach.
So I found a sheet of 2mm soft foam, and made a weather proof cover.
What do you think?

I love it Lee. Im sure one of the kids has got some of that stuff (but coloured) in their craft box i might have to go and have a look through the boxes. Im think there is some bright orange foam in there.

They are plastic standoffs from a Trex 600, cut in half and screwed to the frame.
I then covered them in those long balloons, cut up and put four layers over the standoffs.

That wrap is similar to what Luminier sell for the QAV 250.
I saw an idea last night about using heavy zip ties as legs, cheap, easy and a little flexible.

I'd get a friction fit lens cover for the cameras too. UV filter or something cheap to protect the main glass. Sand is abrasive on coatings and lens glass.

With quads I take off and land from my hand so not an issue for me. But clever idea Lee.
