Yeah, actually it does feel solid. I've seen many videos on Youtube about this little quad and I was a bit hesitant about how solid it would or wouldn't be. Like I said, nothing is locktite'd, just dry fitted and it feels quite solid and rigid. Once I get some other projects done, I'll be ordering the electronics for this quad.
I'm still undecided on the motors. Either the T-Motor 2300kv motors or the Sunny Sky 2300kv motors. The Sunny Sky motors are cheaper but I think I saw that the T Motors are 4S capable. For ESC's, most likely the KISS ESC's. They are small and lightweight and 4S capable. The batteries will be Glacier 1300/1550mah packs from BuddyRC. Acro Naze32 flight controller. I'm gonna hunt down some extra LED's, too.

Good to see another option for the 250 quads. We have a fairly good fleet on here now.

one of my UK buddies, that I'm sub'd to on Youtube, bought one and I just really liked the fact that is wasn't ALL black like most mini's are. I like "different". This Dart 250 is a pretty cool little frame. I like how the blue bobbins allow the "clean" part of the frame to move slightly.

I've seen 450 landing gear on multi rotors before and it seems to work. The legs on my Dart 250 are aluminum with little rubber feet. Pretty cool looking.

Thanks for that link, Graham! Those show specs for 3S and 4S packs. Cool!!! I'll have to see if my quad will run 6" props so that I would be ok on the 3S packs and then run the 5" props on 4S.

nice quad Derek.
Are the clean and dirty sections connected other than the bobbins?
People are generally running 5030, 5045, props on 3s (2000-2400kv motors) and 5045, 6030, 6045 propps on 4s+ (1900-2100kv motors).
Those tiger motors are suppose to be awesome have a look at the 220X sizes as well mate.

There is a small nylon bolt that goes through the bobbins and a small nylon nut that threads onto the nylon bolt. I imagine a bit of locktite would keep them from separating.
As for the KV and prop sized, I imagine if I were to get something in the range of 2000kv, I'd be good for both 3S and 4S.....right?

Yeah 2000kv would work for both, i have seen a video of 2400kv @ 4s with 5030 the thing was a right screamer.
found it.

WOW Dan! That video is insane, lol!!! Very cool!
If you, or anyone else would like....post some questions that you may have about the Dart 250. I'll do up a bit of video that shows some answers and shows off the quad in more detail. I can't imagine there are many differences between my Dart 250 and most other quads but ya never know. So...post some questions and I'll do what i can to show it off and answer the questions.

Ok....I need someone to change my Paypal password and not tell me what it is, lol. I just ordered 4 motors, 4 esc's, 32 props, Acro Naze 32, and two 3S batteries. I think all that I need now is a bit of LED lights and a Spektrum rx.

Your not messing about, are you Derek.
What motors and esc's have you ordered?

I'm always messing with something and sometimes I click on that "Pay Now" button a bit too often, lol.
I got a set of SunnySky X2207S 2100KV motors from
www.buddyrc.com. These are rated for 3S and 4S with 5" and 6" props.
Instead of getting the KISS esc's, like my original intent, I got a set of Velotech Magic Multirotor Speed Controller 18A with 1A BEC SimonK, also rated for 3S and 4S lipos. The esc's also came from
www.buddyrc.com
Unfortunately,
www.readymaderc.com has been out of the Acro Naze 32 with the right angle pins for quite some time. So, I did a Google search and found
www.multirotorsuperstore.com has the Acro Naze 32 in stock. Sweet! I ordered one and 32- 5x3 Gemfam props (16 CW and 16 CCw) while I was on their site.
So...now I just need a 5.8ghz FPV setup, a Mobius, a receiver, and some good weather.
In regard to the receiver...my original intent was to use a Spektrum AR6210 Full Range rx with remote satellite. Is this ok? I was just thinking that there may be less chances of signal loss having the remote satellite rx. The main rx would be inside the frame, near the Naze 32 and the wires. I was thinking that the remote rx could be mounted at the rear of the frame. What do you guys think?

lol...just got an email from BuddyRC. They have my motors and esc's boxed up and the package will go out today. How cool is that??? Place an order and then an hour later the order has been marked "Shipped". Sweet!!!

Mad phil has his like that main rx near the camera and sat right at the back.
It's a shame they don't do the sunnyskys with removable prop adapter. I use nyloc nuts on my prop shafts makes it easy at the field for prop changes and I carry a load of them in my prop box.

Yeah...I think those nyloc nuts are the way to go. Simple, effective, easy to replace.
