No worries, Matthis! You have a whole year to plan for it. Just tuck away $20 a week from now till then.

Okay so I found the dates for IRCHA. AUGUST 3-7. I just penned it in the planner. With the date so close to the 1St my monthly installment check will cover the trip. So unless I can't get the time off or some extenuating surcumstances I am there. I will be camping for sure.

Well things are not looking good. So to give you all the 411 on what's up. So let's go back 5 months when I started at my current job assignment. Yes I have been on this job now for 5 months with not a single job offer. I have applied to at least 12 job postings and today I have received my 9th denial. On Monday of next week a temp with less time than me will be starting as a full time employee. Yes he got hired in before for me. At this point I may not get hired till after the new year. If this is the case I won't have the vacation time saved up for ircha. I maybe able to get a day or 2 but that's about it.

Right now I am trying to keep level headed about this. It has been a rough time for me so I will update this if things change. I doubt they will because that's how I think. Plan for the worse and hope for the best.

I have been in the ring too long. I need a break. I was hoping that thus trip would be the break. I am still going to make a strong effort to go.

It's not so much the money right now. It's getting the time off. If I don't get hired soon I won't have the hours built up in my time off bank. We do an accrual system.

What can change this whole thing is if my ex files the papers or if I have to. So right now it's still on but I may have to reduce how many days I stay. I will keep posting as things develop. I really want to do this. I heard the swarm party is something to experience.

Do you have any idea why people with less time are getting gigs? I'm not sure how the system you're in works, but maybe you're not playing the game quite right? ☺ I'm not much for these kinds of games myself, but if it's the difference between a job or not then might have to suit up.

Thats the answer I don't know. All I have are conjectures and speculations. What I was told is that the individual is close friends with the first shift supervisor. Now that is just a speculation that I heard weather or not its true thats to be seen. This guy and I work in the same area and have the same job but on different shifts. I have spoke with my employer and they were supposed to talk with my assignment and get some answers. So far nada. All I know is that it boils down to the supervisor.

As you said I may not be meeting the expectations but when you don't know what they are...??? Anyhow I hope to see my supervisor on Monday and maybe I can get something worked out. All I can say on behalf is that since returning back to civilian work my head has not got back to where it should be. I have been having a huge roller coaster ride since starting at Lubrizol over a year ago and that assignment took me back to active duty. I do know one thing I give it my best and hopefully its enough.
