One for Tony

I have a vehicle circuit that requires a relay to be switched to ground while the ignition is on and for about 5 seconds after it is turned off.
The engine computer is supposed to do this but it has a problem.
Everything else works fine if I manually ground the relay.
Rather than replace the whole ECU a timer would hopefully do the job.
I figure this is probably doable with a 555 timer but don't have enough knowledge to work out a circuit.
It ideally would have a live battery feed and ground, a trigger from the ignition feed and an output to ground the relay.
Please can you help me? :D

I have sorted it out, I found I could put a capacitor across a second relay and was about to do so when I got an email offering me a used ECU for $65.
Much easier. :)
