Hey guys, I'm ready to purchase another TBS Unify Pro 5GB VTX from Helination which I purchased before. I notice that they didn't have any VTX for sell. So I wrote to them and ask why they stop selling them and here's the message they sent back, " We are waiting for TBS to send us new Unify Pro VTX's that are FCC compliant. They should arrive next week." With the new law into affect, The FCC... well they're changing things around. Heads up

It is not a new law. Lumineer got slammed with an over $130k fine by the FCC for marketing non-compliant transmitting devices. The devices were capable of transmitting on various protected frequencies. That enforcement action is likely rippling through the industry and causing manufacturers and retailers to make changes or seek alternative devices to sell that are FCC tested and labeled.

I'm not in agreement with the amount of fine that they assessed against Lumineer, particularly because they were fully cooperative with the FCC once they served them notice of the breech, having stopped marketing the products here in the US at that point. But it was a long standing regulation, not anything new. Frankly the industry has been acting in very bad faith as far as selling un-labeled, non-compliant devices here in the US for many years now. This was bound to happen eventually.
