Disappointed in HK

On any other given day, at any other given time...I'm a big fan of Hobby King. They have always sent me quality parts (with the exception of one $2.00 servo a few years ago) within a very reasonable shipping time. Unfortunately, this is not the case right now. On March 16, I ordered $380 worth of parts from them, including a new Taranis X9D. Today is March 24, and my order is still "Processing." This isn't the International Warehouse either...this is the US Warehouse in Oregon. Granted, Oregon is on the far western side of the country and I'm in the Eastern/Central part of the country but....it just blows my mind that HK has my money, via Paypal, and yet my order is still "Processing."

I did send them an email, because the Live Chat was quite useless. I got a reply from an HK Supervisor and he did say that there has been a nasty winter storm that has pounded that area of the country. According to the Weather Channel, his story is quite true. However, it's just incredible bothersome and disappointing that my order hasn't even left the warehouse. If my package got delay with the postal service, because of the winter storm, I could completely understand that....but the fact that my order is still "Processing".....8 days after placing the order....not happy!

Ok....I've vented. Hopefully they get things sorted and get my order shipped......sometime before Summer is over.

Yeah don't be down Derek. It sucks but it's out of our hands. Remember our flight controllers sitting in Cal. for three weeks and no one knew anything. Funny how you get Pay Pal involve and all of the sudden they find your package and it's on the way suddenly. Maybe it's time to call P.P.

I'd give them to the end of the second week. If still not shipped, tell them to cancel it and refund the money.

....and here we are, 11 days after I placed my order, and my $375 order is still "Processing." I was just talking with a rep, via Live Chat, and she was less than helpful. She told me that they are aware of the fact that Processing/Shipping is taking much longer than usual and they are working on the problem...whatever that means. I checked GetFPV.com (another favorite FPV supplier of mine) and they have the Taranis X9D (one of the items that I ordered from HK) in stock as well as some other things that I want. Since GetFPV has them in stock, I asked the HK rep to cancel the order and refund my $375. Unfortunately, she told me that once an order has been "Printed" (whatever that means) an order cannot be modified/cancelled. I'm sorry but that's a bunch of crap!!! I've been ordering rc/fpv parts from HK since 2012 and I've never had to wait this long. Even ordering parts from the International Warehouse, my orders are usually out of their door in less than 7 days. I asked the HK rep if they could give me some kind of store credit for this inconvenience.....nope...she shot that down, too. Unbelievable!!!

I hate to say it, but this might just be my last purchase from HK.

It's now been 14 days since I placed a $375 order with Hobby King. Prior to going to work yesterday, I checked on the progress of my order.....it was still "processing." That means that my order STILL hadn't left the US Warehouse. Wow, was I bitter!!! While I was at work, I had come to the decision that, when I got home in the morning, I would get on HK Live Chat and I would pretty much demand that they cancel my order and refund my money. If not, I was going to contact Paypal and have them deal with HK and refund my money.

After clocking out and getting in my truck to head home, I checked my email and there was an email from HK saying that my order had been marked Shipped and there was a tracking number. I have to admit that I was shocked! So, finally my new Taranis X9D, with X8R receiver, and a few other various parts are finally on their way to me. Anticipated delivery date is April 6. If the shipment does get here on April 6, that will be my weekend off work....so, that would be cool!

Now I can start getting pumped up about installing my new TBS Crossfire tx onto the Taranis. Awesome!!!

As for HK....I've been ordering parts from them for well over 6 years. Because of this whole ordeal....I think it's going to be a long while before I order anything from them.
