RC-Hangout

It's that time of year again.....IRCHA 2019 is upon us. In fact, it's been happening since Wednesday (two days ago). I haven't been to an IRCHA event in 4 years. Despite the fact that tomorrow is the last day of IRCHA 2019, I'm gonna head down there for a few hours. The IRCHA 2019 is held at the AMA grounds, in Muncie Indiana....about an hour south of me. I've also learned that our buddy Clayton is already there, right now. I'll meet up with him, for sure. I'll be taking my good camera with me and I'll be sure to post some pics when I get back.

We just got back from IRCHA. I got to meet our buddy Clayton and his buddy Lavar Robertson. Both are really cool guys!!! Ww got to hang out with some of the Synergy team pilots and I got to meet Matt Botos. I even got a picture with Matt. He's such a cool guy to talk with!

I did take some pics but no video. I didnt get as many pics as I had hoped to get because I was doing a lot of watching. As an added bonus, I got to meet George van Gansen, the owner of Scorpion Motors. I got a picture with him too. He's also a cool guy to talk to.

I'll go through the pics that I took and I'll share some soon.

Clayton....it was great to finally meet you and hang out with you and Lavar! You've definitely help restart that "heli-fire" in me. Thanks for everything!

That's just awesome that you and your family had a good time. I would love to go to one of those events. The closest one to me would be Orlando. Since I got my licensee back I should have no reason to go this time Lol. That's too cool you had the chance to see Clayton fly. I've heard he's a good pilot. Can't wait to see the pics. Glad that you got the heli fever again Derek. There're just to much fun to fly

Just by the smile on your face Derek, it looks like you had a blast there. Too cool you got the chance to meet up with Clayton and the guys from team synergy. I can see why you got the heli fever back. That 800 you have will be bad ass once you get it done the way you like. The 500 will be a blast to fly too. Thanks for sharing pics .

Wow, thanks for the love Derek! It was great to finally meet up in person with u & ur family. Thanks for the pics, I honestly don’t do much picture taking anymore.. I should.. anyhow.. I just got home, I’ve been absent for a while.. I’ll check back in on the site tomorrow.

It was real cool to meet up with you and Lavar. I enjoyed watching your flights. I'm happy to hear that you guys made it back home safely.

Ive got a few more parts to order for my 800 build but I should be able to start that soon. In the meantime, I'm gonna dust off my old 500 and check things over and get it ready to go out to the field.

IRCHA had been an awesome event each time I've been there. This year was too cool because I got to hang out with Clay and some other Synergy pilots. Clay is definitely just one of those guys that I could hang out with all weekend and have a blast! He even introduced me to Matt Botos....very cool!!!
