Hi guys, this morning i took the registration test, which you can without having to pay a penny. Quite bizzare questions, i managed to get 19 out of 20, 16 being the pass mark. I have NOT registered as i am insured as a member of FPV UK, so i am exempt till January 2020.

You can sit the test basically till you pass!

When & if i register, i will not do it until i get 20 out of 20:)

Interestingly the one question i failed on, i gave a safe distance answer to the question of 150mtrs, when in fact it was 50mtrs. So technically mine was safer as i would have been further away from the people!! Go figure!

Anyway here is the link if you want to try the test, it costs nothing, just uses your email so they can send you a code for verification.

That's going to be the case here before too long. Part of the Section 336 law that went into effect earlier this year was for the FAA to create and administer a knowledge test for not only part 107 commercial drone pilots, but also recreational sUAS pilots (sUAS being all remote piloted flying things between .55 and 55 lbs). My guess is they'll have it in place either this month or next. Next time our registrations are up for renewal we'll have to take the test to do the registration.
