I saw this video shortly after Bruce posted it. Hes absolutely right! I have thoughts and concerns and I have started to type up my own response but I'm not going to submit my thoughts until next month. I'm hoping that will give me time to organize my thoughts and submit a proper response, without telling the FAA what I "really think" of the Remote ID proposal.

there is a lot to the FAA's BS proposal that is unfair, unrealistic, and seriously over reaches their bounds. When this is all said and done, I do believe that some things will be changed but I'm not sure that enough will be changed that will allow me to continue flying "legally." Yes, I could still fly at the FRIA's (most likely my local club field) but that's not good enough for me. I want to be able to fly at my local parks. I want to be able to fly at my friends farming fields. I've been flying for nearly 9 years and I've never injured anyone....I've never damaged any property....i've never interfered with manned aircraft as they fly by. It's absolute crap that we, as a whole, have to constantly jump through these FAA hoops just because Amazon, UPS, FedEx, and others want drone delivery's.
Per the current regulation, I am not allowed to fly over public crowds of people, sporting events, and first responders.....and I'm quite ok with that. I understand the risks involved with that kind of flying. It's potentially dangerous. I get that! However, with this new regulation, drone deliveries will be able to fly where ever they need to fly to make their deliveries. A potential danger would be, what if, something failed on their drone and it fell from the skies and landed on my truck or, worse yet, my daughters head as she's playing in the yard? What if, during a drone delivery...when the drone lands to make the delivery, a curious little boy runs up to the drone and reaches for the drone and cuts his hand off because he was struck by a prop? How would that situation get sorted?
The whole thing frustrates me quite a lot!!! No, it just pisses me off, endlessly!!!
