Sorry guys I've been away, my step mother passed away this past Monday very unexpectedly. I spent most of the week with my Dad. He is handling it as well as can be expected. They had just bought a larger motor home and had plans for traveling all summer. And being just before Christmas really made things worse. Walking around the house with all the decorating she loved to do. My dad said there are so many gifts she had bought and none of it was wrapped yet and he has no ideal what things are for what people. The last thing she did before she died was bought her 52 year old son his christmas gift, the last entry in her checkbook. The funeral service went well and my Dad and I definitely bonded some. He had been putting off picking up some paneling for a project in the basement so we went and got that with my truck. He said that's one of the first things he works on if he starts to loose it. He is going to go back to work tomorrow. We will miss you Carol... you were the sweetest woman I have ever met.

wow i am really sorry to here that brother my sincerest condolences... I hope you and your family have a great christmas and enjoy the good memories you had with her you got my number if you ever want to talk i am here for ya and if you need to blow off a lil steam you can come over and bash my 3.3 t-maxx sometime trust me it takes your mind elsewhere when it needs to be....

My heart goes out to you Ken x I lost my parents by the time I was 21.

Thank you very much, I'm glad to be involved in this group with you guys. Seems like I've known you all for years. My dad is doing well. He went back to work on Monday. I have a major project going on over Christmas break at a Junior College. We have to have all the work in the classrooms done by Jan. 5 and today was the first day there were no students. My boss showed up yesterday and was disappointed. He said I thought you'd have more done at this point. I don't think he understood that all the kids were either taking their finals or studying for them. Kind of limited me pulling wire in the hallways, library and cafeteria. The project manager told him I was limited to the boiler room.

Sorry to hear of ur loss.. condolences.

Where did January go. I just read this post again and realized I've been away even longer this time. Well a lot has been going on. For one I have a new job and will be moving to St. Charles, Missouri. Is a suburb NorthWest of St Louis. Will be mainly startup and programming of building automation systems. The cool part is I will be traveling 40% of the time all around the US. Instead of working myself to death and dealing with Chicago traffic everyday I'll get to see some more of this country while having a easier life style. Can't think of a better way to spend the next 10-15 years before I retire.

Checked out the nearest AMA club and it looks pretty nice. Should be moving near the end of this month. Company is paying my relocation cost so I just have to get through a couple weeks of hell with my current job...

Finally settled in my new apartment. The cold weather and snow followed me from Chicago to St Louis. I see the membership list is growing and OMG I have a lot of catch up post reading to do. Just sent a check to join the local AMA club here in St Charles. Leaving tomorrow for Pennsylvania for a week, business of course. I'll be bouncing back and forth for a while but should have time in the hotel in the evenings to get caught up with all the post. Missed you guys.
