RC-Hangout

As usual, my brain runs overtime and my imagination likes to run away with my wallet. I have a few major and some minor rc builds that I'd like to do this year. I actually went so far as to buy a 250 mini quad from HK and I was planning on that build when my income tax return arrives...then do some planning for the next project.

Here is where the plan got changed. For the past 12-18 months, when I make my truck loan payment, I simply just get online, sign in, enter my payment amount, click on "Approve", get my confirmation number, and log out. I actually cant remember when I last looked at the dollar amount of the remaining loan, lol....until yesterday. I made my truck payment and the remaining balance caught my attention. I didn't realize that it was as low as it was, lol. My wife and I are expecting our income tax return "this week" So...instead of ordering parts and FPV for my mini quad (still not here, lol), we are going to take a large portion of the tax return and pay off my SUV. Then..we'll have all 3 vehicles bought and paid for. Then I can start ordering parts for my projects with the money that was usually intended for the truck payment.

So...having my truck paid off while it's still "technically" winter means that my Spring, Summer, and Fall are going to be awesome!!!

That's great news Derek, I had my last payment on my car last month, all be it was a double payment and because this happened my car decided the alternator packing up would be the best way to celebrate, lol

So what o expected to have this month ended up going on that,

But it is a great feeling not having the loan over your head,

Its great not having a payment. Might be a better summer for you.

Thanks guys! I'm quite excited about the idea of not having a truck payment, lol, for obvious reasons. Just the thought of being able to "play" a bit more and still be able to put a bit more cash aside for savings is awesome!

Thanks guys! I tell ya....if there was anything that I could do about it, I would SURELY finance a round trip for everyone on the Hangout to come hangout with me at the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics), here in my home state. Acres and acres of open space (that is pond-free, lol) and it would be an awesome expo, for sure. Planes, helicopters, multi rotors, FPV....whatever....if you've got it...bring it.

In the meantime, unfortunately we'll just have to settle for our online Hangout.

I actually had plans for a new soldering station, new charging station, new FPV gear, and a new workbench in my garage....but then I noticed that my truck "could" be paid off this month. That would be 11 months short of the full loan term. Suddenly my other plans dwindled, lol. I spoke to the wife about it and, naturally, she was all for it. WOW! It will be so nice to NOT have to pay on the truck anymore, lol.

As for my other plans..they will all come in due time and I'll be happier for it.

I'm getting really excited now Derek, can't wait...lol

The fact that I'll have my truck paid off or my upcoming projects?

My custom Trex 500 Pro "Titan" project will probably get started this summer. My scratch build "Weston UK Velocity 50" project should be able to start that within the next two weeks. I do have my mini quad on the way. 14 days after ordering it, it's still not here. That "Chinese New Year" really slowed things down for shipment. I do have my large 3D plane project (still unnamed) that is coming along. On top of that, I have to EDF projects coming (hopefully this year). I still want to do a build tutorial on my Blue Cub STOL.

My brain just won't stop, lol. My imagination runs 48.7267 hours per day, lol
